The graph shows both the deleterious effect of low levels of dissolved oxygen in the water to which the population is exposed, shown in shades of carmine, red, and vice versa. That is: the apparent protective effect of high levels of dissolved oxygen in the water that is in contact with the population on epidemiologically important neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Stroke disease.
